Privacy Notice

This notice explains what we do with the personal and health information you send us, under Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).

Who is responsible for your data

Ibogaine Center Cancún, Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico, is responsible for the processing of your personal data. Contact: info@ibogainecentercancun.com.

What we collect

Through the screening form and subsequent contact we collect:

  • Identification and contact data: name or alias, email, phone number, country and state of residence.
  • Sensitive health data: the substance or condition you are consulting about, medication, cardiac history and the clinical information you choose to share.
  • Date of birth (optional) and an emergency contact (name, phone and, optionally, email and relationship).
  • Data of the person applying on the patient's behalf, when a relative or friend fills in the form: name, contact details and relationship. That person confirms they have the patient's permission.
  • Travel preferences, when you ask us to quote hotel, flights, transfers or tours.
  • Referral source: the website or campaign that brought you to us (for example, a treatment directory), stored with your request.
  • Technical data: the date, time and IP address from which the form was sent, kept for security; and anonymous usage statistics (Google Analytics 4). We never send your name, email or health information to analytics.

What we use it for

Primary purposes, necessary for the service:

  • Assess your medical eligibility for treatment
  • Contact you about that assessment and, if applicable, organise your stay
  • Keep the clinical record required by Mexican health regulations

Secondary purposes you may refuse at any time without affecting your care:

  • Sending you follow-up or informational material

Because health data is sensitive under the LFPDPPP, we ask for your express consent before you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who else sees it

Your data is handled by our medical and admissions team only. We use service providers who process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality: hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), email delivery and analytics. Where you ask for a travel quote, the minimum necessary information is shared with the agency or hotel involved.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. We disclose information to authorities only where the law requires it.

Your ARCO rights

You may ask at any time to access, rectify, cancel or object (derechos ARCO) to the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent. Write to info@ibogainecentercancun.com with your name and the right you wish to exercise; we respond within the legal term of 20 working days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with Mexico's data protection authority.

Retention and security

Clinical records are kept for the period required by Mexican health regulations. Enquiries that do not become treatment are deleted on request. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, the administrative system is protected by authenticated access, and only authorised staff can read patient records.
